Client Feedback
Clients are fully involved in determining their mobility program.
Clients may use a friend or family member to advocate on their behalf to Guide Dogs.
On agreeing to undertake a mobility program, clients and instructors are expected to keep appointments and follow the training activities in order to reach the set goals. Clients are offered a copy of their Program Objectives, to which they have agreed.
Clients may alter their program or withdraw from it at any time.
If a client is not satisfied with their program, there is a grievance procedure which may be followed.
On completion of training, clients are invited to provide feedback on the program. They're asked to sign a document stating whether the program objectives were met. They can also request a follow up, by way of a telephone call or a face to face visit.
Any person who has received or applied for service may examine their files.
Non-English speaking clients have access to a professional interpreter for the duration of their mobility program.
