Even Christopher Colombus didn’t feel this good
setting off to find a new world.

A free-of-charge spring holiday program conducted by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT's Orientation and Mobility Instructors gave some children who are vision impaired the chance to experience the wonders of sailing, to meet new people, and learn appropriate travel and social skills.

On a glorious sunny day at Sydney's International Regatta Centre, they learned the layout of a boat, where to sit, how to embark and disembark (keeping dry in the process) and what it feels like to spend time on the water.

And all agreed it was a fabulous, fun-filled day.

What great fun ... even if there were no pirates.
