With Sunnies like these it looks as though Yanderra School has some budding Optical Designers!

...the students and staff of Yanderra Public School.
South of Sydney on the way to Mittagong, the small school of only 63 students – including one with vision impairment – decided to hold a “Funny Sunnies Day” to raise funds for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
According to the Principal, Mrs Langbein, “All the students had a really great time and were very excited by the amount raised.” And we were grateful and very excited too when we received the donation.
Thank you all, your donation will help greatly.

A happy Rockdale School group surround Leonie and Indira.
|
In the latter half of last year, staff and students of Rockdale Public School gave a warm welcome to PR Speaker Leonie Wolff and Indira her Guide Dog.
The children listened intently while Leonie told them about Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, the experience of working with a Guide Dog and how Indira has helped her maintain independence. As part of what was a wonderful experience, the children were able to pat Indira, once Leonie had taken her harness off, and talk to Leonie.
We were delighted to receive a donation from the school and would like to thank
everyone concerned.
Another strong supporter last year was the Rotary Club of Rose Bay, which donated $2000 to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
The hard-working and supportive members raised the money through a “Quiz Night” and the “Rose Bay Fair”.
Judging by the accompanying photo everyone had “fun raising funds” and we are most grateful for their outstanding efforts.

No doubting the happy smiles of these hard-working club members.
