Everyone at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT had been anticipating the arrival of the Pups with Promise April 2008 litter for quite some time. Needless to say, when Ebonie, along with her siblings arrived at our Guide Dogs Centre in early April, Pups with Promise Club members and Guide Dogs staff were brimming with excitement!
Ebonie arrived at the centre on a sunny Monday afternoon and settled in almost immediately, making herself at home and introducing herself to our kennel staff.
The excitement was only just beginning for Ebonie though, the next day, several Guide Dogs staff arrived to meet her and take photos of her and her sisters. She clearly loved all of the attention, grabbing all of her favourite toys and prancing around in front of the camera.

Slightly exhausted from posing for the camera all morning, Ebonie was taken to visit our on-site vet for her routine check-up. As expected, Ebonie was given a clean bill of health, and is developing perfectly. Throughout the whole ordeal, Ebonie showed a well mannered temperament, something that will favour her chances of becoming a Guide Dog.
After an exciting few days at the centre, Ebonie was placed with her puppy raisers. She will spend the next 12 months living with them and learning from them, before returning to Guide Dogs Centre for full time training.
