Puppy Love at Top Ryde

11 February, 2012

Puppy Love at Top Ryde City Shopping Centre

Guide Dog puppies will take over Top Ride City on Saturday 11 February offering some pre-Valentine's day love to shoppers, especially those who may be pining for a pet. The event will hopefully fill this gap and help to remind people about the joys of giving back.

As it costs $30,000 to raise and train each guide dogs, Guide Dogs NSW / ACT relies on the generosity of the general public to constantly help us meet this goal. There are many ways people can help but a popular option is to volunteer as a Puppy Raiser and care for a pup in it's first year. For those who don't have the time to be a Puppy Raiser, another option is to become a Puppy Pal, where monthly donations support the training of guide dog puppies.

This FREE family event will give you the chance to:

- Meet some adorable puppies

- Meet a real working guide dog and hear it's owners inspirational story

- Purchase puppy themed merchandise

- Have your child's face painted and receive a balloon animal

- Undertake the blindfold challenge and learn about the full range of services that Guide Dogs NSW / ACT provides free of charge for people with impaired vision

Event details:

Where: 'La Piazza' in Top Ryde Shopping Centre
