At Home
For people who are blind or have impaired vision, their own home can be a difficult place to negotiate. There are potential obstacles indoors, in the garden, and even on the way to their letter box.
At Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, we can assist people in getting around and living safely in their home. This training is particularly useful when clients move to a new neighbourhood, or into a new home or living situation.
Our Orientation and Mobility Instructors familiarise people with their home and surroundings, so that they can move around independently.
We travel to clients' homes, anywhere in NSW and the ACT, so that the mobility training meets their individual requirements.
