Help more people like Chrissy
"Blindness stole more than my sight... It's got everything."
Chrissy was diagnosed with Stargardt's Disease six years ago, when she was in her final year of university. Because of this disease, Chrissy is losing her central vision and she was overcome with panic and anxiety.
Like Chrissy, 28 Australians are diagnosed with untreatable sight loss daily. More Australians are losing their sight than ever before, and Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is in danger of being overwhelmed. Unless we can train more Guide Dogs now, people with sight loss like Chrissy might miss out.
The tragic fact is only one in four Australians who need a Guide Dog have one. There are simply not enough Guide Dogs being trained to help someone with sight loss find the freedom it has stolen away.
It's only by working together, moving as one, that we can make sure someone like Chrissy doesn't have to go on a waiting list for a Guide Dog. Or miss out.
Please, join people right across NSW and the ACT with a Moving as One Appeal gift today to help train a Guide Dog. Together we can transform sight lost to freedom found.
