Meet Emma. She’s 9 years old, loves reading Harry Potter and wants to be a writer when she grows up. She also has Aniridia, a condition which affects her vision.
“I have to work really hard to keep up at school too because, when I grow up, I want to be a writer, like JK Rowling,” Emma says.
Emma’s eye condition not only affects her ability to read and learn, it also impacts her socialisation. Being the only child in her school with Aniridia, Emma says sometimes she feels shy and finds it hard to make friends.
