Bimberi Youth Justice Centre inspired by vision loss story

Overcoming the challenges of losing her sight, both physically and mentally, was the theme of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Public Relations Speaker, Jo Weir's motivational message when she addressed a group of young people at the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre.

Knitting for a pawesome cause

As a member of the Central Coast Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Volunteer Support Group, Phyl has been selling her teddy bears at fundraising stalls to help raise money for the organisation so that more people living with vision impairment can remain active and independent.

Vision impaired artist paints eye conditions

Artist Susan Oxenham's paintings of the eye along with some works she has created with a long cane will be on display at Penrith City Library in an exhibition titled, 'Longsighted at the Library'.

Bequest helps Guide Dogs continue to offer services

A special day is planned to mark the installation of plaque at the Guide Dogs Centre in Glossodia in honour of Kay Janet Stubbs, a Pitt Town farmer, who generously bequeathed part of her estate to the organisation.
