Pathways to Inclusion Initiative

The Pathways to Inclusion document is designed to assist Councils to address access issues in the community as identified by people with blindness and low vision.

It is a practical guide resulting from collaborative research with local government and disability organisations. It identifies key access issues identified by people with disability related to Liveable Accessible Communities and provides practical, actionable advice to Councils to implement and monitor their Disability Inclusion Action Plans (DIAPs).

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, Blind Citizens NSW, People With Disability Australia and Inner West Council collaborated to undertake consultation and research to develop the guide.

The Pathways to Inclusion document is freely available for councils to download and use. Access the document here.
