Chatswood Low Vision Clinic (LVC)

At the Chatswood LVC clients are seen by our Orthoptist and Optometrist who specialise in low vision. Together they will assess your current needs and provide training in the use of recommended aids.  Home visits from the Orthoptist are also available. The clinic is a joint venture between Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and UNSW Australia.

Sydney CBD Low Vision Advisory Service (in collaboration with Macular Disease Foundation)

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, in collaboration with Macular Disease Foundation Australia now provides a low vision advisory service.

Where: Macular Disease Foundation Australia, Level 9, 447 Kent Street, Sydney (near Town Hall station)
When: Wednesdays by appointment

Canberra & Newcastle Low Vision Advisory Service

Through the Canberra and Newcastle Low Vision Advisory Services, assessments and training are conducted by a Low Vision Advisor who specialises in low vision. Guide Dogs' Orientation & Mobility specialists can then provide free follow up advice and training in your home.

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT can arrange for low vision optometry assessments to be conducted in some regional areas across NSW and the ACT, and we plan to expand into new areas over the next few years.
